Annual event fosters diverse perspectives, recognizes accomplishments, and helps prepare students for professional conference circuit聽
七色视频 College of Doctoral Studies welcomed more than 1,000 attendees during its 2024 Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit, held October 17-19, 2024. The virtual research event, titled 鈥淩ise of the Scholar-Practitioner,鈥 served as a dynamic forum for research, while also exploring the innovative possibilities for advancing the value prospects amongst industry practices, scholar-practitioner engagement, and ever-evolving research concerning pivotal societal issues.
鈥淚t鈥檚 exciting to see the growth in attendance and interest of the Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit, and its opportunity for engagement, connection, and professional growth and networking, both for our doctoral students as well as other University community members,鈥 states Hinrich Eylers, Ph.D., P.E., vice provost, College of Doctoral Studies. 鈥淚n addition to celebrating doctoral students鈥 and scholars鈥 successes with the Dissertation of the Year and DEIB research awards, our students presentations demonstrate the depth and excellence of their contributions, and support their skills development in preparation for the professional conference circuit.鈥
The Summit is an effort of the Research and Scholarship Enterprise聽(RSE) and the College of Doctoral Studies to enlighten communities through the efforts of a research perspective that amplifies practice-based potential in applying theory to real-time issues.

Summit attendees and participants found the experience valuable. 鈥淚 received insightful feedback from other scholars/practitioners who participated in the same sessions that I presented in,鈥 shared Suchitra Veera, DBA, MBA, fellow, CEITR, and faculty, College of Business and Information Technology.
鈥淭he Summit was an inspiring and impactful experience for my team and me. Presenting on聽the role of emotional intelligence in leadership effectiveness in mechanistic organizations聽provided a unique opportunity to engage with leaders, innovators, and peers who are equally passionate about advancing the field,鈥 shared Sai Raghav, DM, MS, fellow, Center for Leadership Studies & Organizational Research (CLSOR). 鈥淭he summit鈥檚 atmosphere of collaboration and the insightful discussions it fostered truly enriched our understanding and reinforced the vital role of emotional intelligence in shaping effective leadership.鈥
