This course provides students with a holistic view of threat intelligence, including not only the types of attacks but methods to determine motivation and goals behind a variety of attacks, data collection and analysis, and how to plan a threat intelligence program. Students learn the entire threat analysis process and how to create effective threat intelligence reports.

Skill in identifying cyber threats which may jeaopardize organization and/or partner interests.

Mitigate the risks posed by various cyber threats to improve the security posture of the organizations.

Skill in maintaining databases. (i.e., backup, restore, delete data, transaction log files, etc.).

Apply the techniques of evaluating intelligence and creating a knowledge base for storing threat information.

Skill in using multiple analytic tools, databases, and techniques (e.g., Analyst鈥檚 Notebook, A-Space, Anchory, M3, divergent/convergent thinking, link charts, matrices, etc.).

Perform the threat analysis process using techniques for continuous improvement of threat analysis.
