Methodology and key findings

The ɫƵ Mothers Overcome More (M.O.M.) Report

As we have seen in the Career Optimism Index® study, the past three years have been some of the most tumultuous for the American workforce in recent history. Workers face myriad challenges and barriers to the progression of their careers, and working moms are no exception.

In wave 3 of the Career Optimism Index® study, we saw that moms are:

  • Struggling more financially than the average worker
  • Feeling overwhelmed, having to take on additional jobs
  • Experiencing burnout at higher rates than the workforce average

What's more, their need for stability makes moms less likely to quit a job without having another lined up.
